About
The Black Cat Bar is in the process of being sold.
After nearly 8 years I am getting out of the bar business in order to spend more time with my wife and son. It was a great ride, and I thank my fabulous patrons, queer, straight and everyone in between! Also my wonderful employees, and all the great musicians and DJs that made the Black Cat the special place it has been. 2 Live Crew, Coyote Grace, Zony Mash, Gabby LaLa, Lemon Lime Lights, Pete Anderson, Sistas in the Pit and the hundreds of others that made each night a fantastic experience. The Humble Pie Restaurant is staying open, please continue to patronize this fantastic eatery! Stay tuned to www.blackcatbar.com for farewell party dates.
The Black Cat opened it’s doors on October 12, 2002. Housed in a 100 year old haunted building, it has taken on a complete life of it’s own. Lesbian owned and operated, queer, freak and straight friendly, we are an oasis of relaxed, come as you are fun! Live original music, DJ dancing, and the best bartenders you’ll ever meet. Plus really good food served with love from the Humble Pie. Everyone is welcome, no hassles, no drama. We can’t wait to see you! Our hours are Tuesday-Saturday 4pm-2am, Sunday 10am-11pm. We’re closed on Mondays. We are a 21 and over establishment.
